EnRich part-funded a wonderful creative piece recently which looks at the effect of Barnsley’s industrial heritage on our natural surroundings.
Dearne natives, Andy Seward, Hayley Youell and James Lockey formed a collective to create a new multidisciplinary artwork in response to the River Dearne, as part of a Dearne Valley Landscape Partnership artistic programme.
The collective blends original music, sound and film to celebrate the spirit and survival of the River Dearne.
It’s a positive & thought-provoking piece and you can see it here.
The project includes collaborations with local poet/songwriter Ray Hearne, choral arranger Barry Coope and the Thurnscoe Harmonic Male Voice Choir.
The project was commissioned by the Dearne Valley Landscape Partnership with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and EnRich.
