EnRich is excited to be involved in Barnsley’s first ever People’s Postcard Award being run by two local artists. Michelle Clarke-Stables and Ruth Buchanan are raising funds for both EnRich and Willberry Wonder Pony, a teenage bone cancer charity.
They have the support of fashion guru Gok Wan and comedians Jo Brand and Arthur Smith who have already submitted their postcards for auction. You could get the chance to bid for one of these original pieces at the auction on Thursday September 29th at the Londoner pub in Barnsley town centre.
You also have the chance to enter your own work which may win a prize. All postcards – on the theme “Wish You Were Here” – will be auctioned off during the event in aid of the two charities. Barnsley author Milly Johnson is the auctioneer for the evening.
The deadline for the original artwork to be received is September 20th and entrants can submit up to three entries which will all be auctioned.
If you are unsure about your artistic skills you can use words instead of paint – the challenge is all about creativity.
