Enter our creative competition!

We are very excited to announce we are running a competition to win a year of mentoring from a practising artist and sculptor!

Mapplewell-based Michelle Clarke-Stables is offering the fantastic prize to anyone of any age who lives or studies in the Barnsley area. The competition is open to an artist from any creative background who feels they would benefit from some support and encouragement.

The prize involves spending time with Michelle and working in her studio once a month. She would also be on hand to offer feedback about work created between visits.

Michelle has a bijou exhibition space “The Corridor” where the successful artist would be supported to hold an exhibition of their work with a small grant from EnRich to cover eg any framing of work for display. You would need to provide your own materials during the year-long mentoring process.

She specialises in sculpture and is also a fine artist who has painted a number of well-known individuals such as Gok Wan and Dame Judi Dench. She has recently had work exhibited in Berlin and Athens and is also currently working with London-based sculptor Angela Connor who worked alongside Barbara Hepworth for many years as her Studio Assistant.

To enter you need to send us up to 10 images of your work and a supporting statement to a maximum of 500 words. The statement should tell us about your work stating why you would like to win this prize and what impact you believe the opportunity would have. The images need to be within the document which should be saved as a pdf. The closing date is Friday July 28th 2017 at noon and entries should be sent to enrich2013@hotmail.com

Please include your name, full address, age, telephone number and email address on the top of your statement.
